Christmas is mostly wonderful, but if I am going to be totally honest with you, for many years I wasn’t able to enjoy it fully due of the food.
December month was the month when I knew lots of desserts, treats and sweets would be available, and that stressed me out. During November I usually planned my whole December so I’d be able to eat, but not eat “too much”, because I wanted to look ”pretty” and not “bloated” for Christmas Eve and mostly, even more importantly... for New Years.
I used to be so stressed about eating a single dessert (or food in general that I didn’t considered “healthy”), that I was filled with stressed and inner insecurity that would make me feel anxious for a whole month - during the whole December month, when you are supposed to be happy and ENJOY the wonderful Christmas times of the year!
I’ve grown very much this year and mostly regarding my approach towards my own health. And I really want to say that, don’t stress and just enjoy these Christmas times! Christmas is absolutely wonderful and beautiful, and have so many delicious foods available, so enjoy it! An extra (or two... or three ;)) saffron buns won’t make a difference in the long. You will only evolve your approach towards food in a healthy way; not seeing food as something bad or “forbidden”.
Take care luvs. Have a great Friday! And enjoy that saffron bun, gingerbread or fudge you have been wanting to eat during the week.
