"And if I asked you to name all the things you loved, how long would it take for you to name yourself?"
Self-love; one of the most important concepts to learn, to be able to live a completely happy life. But self-love isn't only thinking you look quite good and that you are smart and interesting; or being able to say you did good when you lost x-amounts of kilos, got the highest grade in school or when you looked incredible for your night out with your friends. At least not completely. Self-love is being able to love yourself even when you feel and look your worse; even when you failed that test in school; even when you have a big pimple in your face; even when you (we) girls are on your period and have bloated stomachs; and even though... you have put on some few kilos and "don't look as fit as you used to". Self-love is understanding that you also have "bad days", and loving yourself even though you have them.
Just a few months ago I didn't like posting photos of myself... and especially not wearing bikini! But hey look, I've posted more bikini photos lately on my instagram and been sharing my story with you, and it has only made me stronger as a person. Self-love needs time and practice, and before you can start loving someone else you have to learn how to love yourself first.❤️ "
